■Comments from jury members
- The works were richly varied and strong in quality, many successfully expanding the conventional notion of comic illustration, and contributing to the overall breadth of the entries.
- I think the prizes justifiably went to excellent works equipped with both technical and artistic merit. The competition also suggested fresh future possibilities for the comic illustration genre.
- That we selected an analog work for the Grand Prize also reflects our expectations for future digital works. I look forward to digital works that surpass analog realms by harnessing technology, instead of being dictated by it.
